Gown of the Day: St. Pucchi Couture

Hello Everyone!
I've officially found my dream wedding gown.
Made by St. Pucchi Couture, this beautiful dress is made entirely of Duchess Satin
and features horizontal piping with crystal and bead accents along the bodice.
The Chapel Train can be bustled up or left free as you come down the aisle.
This gown rings up at about $12,000. I guess I'd better start saving up now!
The style number is 9322.
What are your thoughts on the dress?
Like it, love it, hate it? Let me know!

Beach Bride

Hello Everyone!
Recently, I was talking to one of my very good friends about our "dream weddings".
While I dream of having a super-formal, Cinderella wedding,
my friend dreams of having a more relaxed style wedding on the beach.

I can't wait until the day she gets engaged, because gown shopping with
her will be something like getting to play dress up with a life-sized Barbie.
(She's going to kill me when she reads that bit!)
But in all honesty, this girl has a figure that brides around the world
can only dream of.
Tall and slim, she is going to look amazing in whatever she tries on.

However, she told me that she dreams of having a fairly
simple dress made of lace with minimal beading ...possibly sheath style with
the main focus being on her back.

Armed with new ideas, I just had to make an Inspiration Board for her.
While this gown is probably a bit fancier than what she
had in mind, I think it's beautiful and I know she'd look beautiful in it!

My Cushion Cut Engagement Ring by Tiffany & Co.

Hello ladies!
I love diamonds, everything about them makes me happy.
Tiffany & Co. on 5th Ave. in New York
is one of my favorite places to visit.
I could wander around the 2nd floor all day (engagement ring floor).

Being the planner that I am,
I've already picked out my Tiffany
"dream ring" and I thought it would be fun to
make it my first "Ring of the Day".

This is the Tiffany Legacy ring.
Isn't it beautiful?
In technical terms, it is a
Cushion Cut, Micropave Diamond Ring.
I am absolutely IN LOVE with it.
If on the day when my prince charming
gets down on one knee and asks me to spend the rest of my life with him
he pulls out a little Robins Egg Blue box with a little white bow on top
and this ring is waiting for me inside,
I will be the happiest girl on earth!

It's pricey to say the least,
but ladies, you're worth it!
What do you ladies think?
Do you like this ring, is it too flashy...not flashy enough?
Let me know!

Gown of the Day: Famosa by Pronovias

Hello Everyone!

Today's gown took my breath away when I first saw it.
Famosa by Pronovias
You are sure to look like a Greek Goddess
as you come down the aisle in
this beautiful dress.

Made of Chiffon with beading on the shoulders
as well as the waist,
it looks as though
this gown could have been worn
by Aphrodite herself.

This gown is so simple and delicate in it's construction
however, there is something inexplicably powerful about it.
Doesn't that cathedral veil look amazing?!

Welcome!

Hello Everyone!
Thank you for stopping by and welcome to my new Blog!
*What the Bride Borrowed*

If there is one thing about me that holds true,
aside from the fact that I love fashion,
it's that I am obsessed with weddings.

I love everything about them,
the rings,
the flowers,
and most importantly,
the gowns.
In fact, I've been planning my wedding
since I was about four.
I'm no where near being engaged, but it doesn't stop
me from planning ahead!

It's my dream to own my own gown shop one day!
Anyway,
this blog is going to be a little different from my other one,
A Model Moment.
This blog, will focus on trends in the wedding industry:
up-and-coming designers, new collections, and other
wedding-related ramblings.

I can't wait to start writing,
I've come across some amazing things that I
simply can't wait to share with you!

Love, Jenn
